Duocai Eight Immortals Teacup

Capacity: 70mL

Dimensions: 8.9cm x 3.2cm

Handcrafted item of Jingdezhen by SanYu Zuo Qi

This is a vessel with strong Taoist religious characteristics, the original is a bowl of covert eight immortals in doucai from the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty. The Qing dynasty's economic development reached its peak and adopted an accommodating attitude towards Taoism, which was reflected in the porcelain by the incorporation of religious cultural elements in the vessel and the trend of diversified decorative patterns.

You will see here the eight magic weapons: gourd, fan, fish drum, sword, lotus, flower basket, flute and yin and yang board; this method of expression is implicitly in line with the Taoist philosophy of advocating spirituality and mystery, which began to flourish in the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty and became popular throughout the Qing Dynasty.

Each cup is presented in a beautiful gift box and accompanied by a hard bound certificate of authenticity with embossed certified seal.
